2. Publish 32 papers1paper included in SCI (including papers with impact factors above 10 and 25 papers with impact factors above 5); It won 3 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, 3 provincial and ministerial awards 16, 75 patent applications, 29 authorized patents, 8 national authorized varieties 18 and 52 provincial authorized varieties. Authorized patents and a number of new crop varieties with high yield, high quality and high resistance have created social and economic benefits of more than 3 billion yuan, making positive contributions to the development of agriculture, rural areas and farmers.
3. Research progress in recent five years:
(1) A relatively complete technical platform for large-scale rice functional genome research has been constructed, which is at the same level as similar international research;
(2) Using the rice functional genome research technology platform, 49 new genes with broad application prospects and clear functions for controlling rice yield, quality, insect resistance and stress resistance were isolated and identified, and all of them applied for invention patents, and authorized 17 genes, which was helpful to change the situation that agricultural biotechnology research in China relied on introducing foreign genes for a long time. The research results have been published in international authoritative magazines, such as Natural Genetics, Proc Natl Acad Sci of the United States and Plant Cells. Many papers have been published in the form of magazine covers, which have attracted wide attention at home and abroad, and the research work is at the international leading level.
(3) Long-term commitment to the biological basis of heterosis, the viewpoint that epistasis is an important genetic basis of heterosis was put forward, and the genetic basis of heterosis of excellent hybrid rice Shanyou 63 was comprehensively and satisfactorily analyzed by using the "permanent F2" population which has great influence in the world;
(4) Based on rich and diverse variety resources, explore new crop genes and germplasm innovations, form a technical and theoretical system for innovative mining of major crop resources, and cultivate a large number of characteristic materials;
(5) Establishing molecular breeding technology systems such as cell engineering breeding, molecular marker-assisted selection and transgenic technology, and cultivating a number of varieties (lines) of rape, tomato, cotton and rice;
(6) A complete system of citrus cell engineering technology was established, and the world's largest citrus in vitro material bank was established, and a number of valuable citrus mutants were found, and the cultivated varieties accounted for 35% of the varieties selected in the same period in China, creating great social and economic benefits;
(7) Pol CMS (Polcms) was discovered for the first time in the world, and it was considered as "the first rape male sterility type with practical value in the world". Rapeseed breeding circles at home and abroad have extensively studied and utilized it, and cultivated a large number of new materials and varieties by using this material, and carefully located a number of rape fertility-related genes and applied them to breeding practice. Every year, a large area of130,000 mu is planted in China, and hybrid rapeseed is planted.
