Xiangya Public Health College has been adhering to Xiangya's spirit of "diligence, sincerity, truth-seeking, precision, thoroughness and expertise" for a hundred years. Xiangya School of Public Health of Central South University has grown into a first-class public health school with international influence.

The college has six two disciplines departments, including epidemiology and health statistics, occupational hygiene and environmental hygiene, nutrition and food hygiene, child health and maternal and child health care, health toxicology, social medicine and health management. 6 school-level research institutes (rooms and centers), 2 national training bases, 1 experimental center. At present, there are post-doctoral mobile stations in the first-level discipline of public health and preventive medicine, doctoral degree awarding points in the first-level discipline, master degree awarding points in the first-level discipline and MPH professional degree authorization points.
