College is an internationally renowned and domestic first-class talent training base and scientific research center for nonferrous metal resources exploration. There are 6 undergraduate majors (directions) in the college: geological engineering (including geological resources and surveying engineering), geo-information science and technology, surveying and mapping engineering, geographic information system and biomedical engineering. About 450 undergraduates, more than 300 master students and more than 50 doctoral students are enrolled every year. In 2009, the employment rate of undergraduate graduates reached 95%, which was welcomed and praised by employers.
