West China Hospital is a national diagnosis and treatment center for difficult and critical diseases in western China, and it is also the largest comprehensive single-point hospital in the world. It has the largest medical experimental center in China and the earliest medical experimental center approved by the American Society of Pathologists (CAP).

Development course of Huaxi Hospital;

1, 1937 War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out in an all-round way. Central University, yenching university, cheeloo university, Jinling University and Jinling Women's College of Arts and Sciences moved to Chengdu to jointly run schools and run doctors with West China United University.

2 1946 After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, universities moved back and the hospital was renamed as West China Sheikh University Hospital. West China Sheikh University Hospital was completely built in the present site, referred to as West China Hospital for short.

3, 1985, Sichuan Medical College was renamed as West China Medical University, and the hospital was renamed as the First Affiliated Hospital of West China Medical University.

4. In 2000, Sichuan University merged with West China University of Medical Sciences, and the hospital was renamed West China Hospital.
