University of Northern Malaysia (English: University of Northern Malaysia; Malay: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM for short) is a public university located in Xindu Town, Gubangbasu County, Kedah State, Malaysia. The school was established on1February 19841June 1984 according to the law of the University of Northern Malaysia 1984, and was changed into an enterprise system on April 23, 1998. In the qs World University Ranking, the University of North Malaysia ranks (5 1 1-520).
