General situation of Northampton University
Northampton University, with a history of 800 years, is the first batch of British comprehensive universities accredited by the Ministry of Education. 1968 merged with the new Ulster University, and 1984 merged with Ulster University of Technology. Ulster University is a diversified and modern institution of higher learning, located in Northampton, a famous city in central England. At present, there are two campuses, Park and Avenue. Its teaching quality and hardware facilities make Northampton University a representative of emerging universities in Britain. The embryonic form of the school is several higher education institutions established in Northampton in the19th century, and merged into a university in the 1970s. Originally it was the Nene College of Higher Education of Leicester University. Northampton University was formerly the newly established Northampton University College, and was separated from Leicester University at the end of 1999. In 2004, it was officially named as a university from 1 1 with the documents issued by the relevant British departments.
