Main Exhibition of the Former Site of National Southwest Associated University
The National Southwest Associated University Monument stands in the northeast corner of the campus. This monument was built on May 4th, 946/KLOC-0, on the eve of the return of Peking University, Tsinghua and Nankai University to the north after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. The monument was inscribed by Mr. Feng Youlan, Dean of College of Literature, National Southwest Associated University, Wen Yiduo, Professor of Chinese Department, and Luo Yongshu Dan, Professor and Dean of Chinese Department, so it is called the modern "Three Wonders Monument". The monument is magnificent, with vigorous calligraphy, flying literary talent, profound meaning and magnificent momentum, which has high historical, artistic and literary value.

As the historical witness of National Southwest Associated University, the monument has been cherished by alumni of Peking University, Tsinghua and Nankai University and the United Nations General Assembly at home and abroad for more than half a century. 1988 To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of National Southwest Associated University, Peking University and the Beijing Alumni Association of National Southwest Associated University unanimously decided to duplicate the monument of National Southwest Associated University standing on the campus of Yunnan Normal University. This replica monument was erected in Lombardi University and completed on May 4th of the following year. For example, Mr. Feng Youlan, who is 94 years old this year, personally unveiled the tablet and quoted the words in the inscription he wrote 43 years ago to tell reporters: "The end of The National SouthWest Associated University is not a great event for a generation, but it is rare. Today, the spirit of the UN General Assembly should still be carried forward! "
