Research results of Waseda University

1, artificial intelligence: WABOT- 1, the world's first humanoid robot, born in Japan, 1973 was created by Professor Ichiro Kato of Waseda University. Named after Waseda University, it is equipped with mechanical hands and feet, artificial vision and hearing devices, and its shape is anthropomorphic, which is quite similar to modern humanoid robots.

2. Astronomy: A research team led by Takuya Hashimoto of Waseda University used the new data of the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA) to discover what is believed to be the earliest known merger of two galaxies. The total mass of the whole object is 770 million times that of the sun. The merger of these two galaxies took place an incredible 654.38+0.3 billion years ago.

Medicine: A research team composed of Nobu University of Japan's Defense Ministry and Medical University jointly developed a surgical "nano-band-aid" which can be used to stick soft tissues such as lungs. The thickness of this "nano-band-aid" is only 1% of the band-aid sold in the market, which will promote the application of polymers in the future medical field.
