The non-clinical five-year program of Medical College of Xi Jiaotong University is based on Basic Medical College, Xiangya Public Health College and Xiangya Pharmaceutical College, and it sets up four undergraduate majors of basic medicine, preventive medicine, forensic medicine and clinical pharmacy to train talents, covering all levels of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral training systems. Xi Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, formerly known as National Beijing Medical College, is the first national western medicine school organized by the municipal government in China.
