Every year, 10- 12 excellent papers are selected from graduate students to be rewarded, and scientific research activities such as publishing academic papers are taken as an important reference for the evaluation of graduate students' "Samsung Scholarship", "Chengbao Scholarship" and "Lin Minhao Scholarship". The academic atmosphere of the school is very strong. In 2003, Xu Dongri, a doctoral student majoring in Asian and African languages and literature under the guidance of Professor Jin Shoumin, won hundreds of excellent doctoral dissertations in China, which was the first in the history of the school and won great honor for the school.
