Beijing Humanities Knowledge Competition is one of the seven major subject competitions sponsored by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, which has a far-reaching impact on many colleges and universities. The theme of this competition is "Humanism, Turning into the World", and the main topics are the basic knowledge of literature, history and philosophy, necessary artistic accomplishment, common sense of science history and natural science, and common sense of Beijing history and culture, aiming at broadening college students' knowledge horizons and stimulating their interest and enthusiasm in learning humanistic knowledge and reading humanistic classics. Since the start of the contest in May, leaders at all levels of the Party Committee Propaganda Department, Academic Affairs Office and Humanities College of our school have attached great importance to it.

On May 29th and June 5th, the school tryouts hosted by the School of Humanities were held in two sessions. Through the creation of ancient poems, answering questions on humanistic topics, speeches, dramas and other forms, the students' humanistic knowledge base and cultural background were fully investigated. It not only shows the fruitful achievements of humanistic quality training in our school for many years, but also accumulates some experience for the follow-up Beijing Games.
