The Science Island Branch of the Graduate School of the Chinese University of Science and Technology is affiliated to the Chinese University of Science and Technology, and about 14 is assigned to HKUST for enrollment. It has 10 research units, such as Institute of Plasma Physics, Anhui Institute of Optical Precision Machinery, Institute of Solid State Physics, Institute of Intelligent Machinery, Science Center of Strong Magnetic Field, Institute of Nuclear Energy Technology and Safety, Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Institute of Technical Biology and Agricultural Engineering, Medical Physics Center and Institute of Applied Technology.
