It is an independent college funded by engineering university. In 2008, the Ministry of Education issued the Administrative Measures for Independent Colleges, which stipulated that independent colleges are an important part of private colleges and universities, and solved the problem of unclear nature of independent colleges in the past. From the qualitative point of view of the Ministry of Education, independent colleges are private universities, but the investors may be enterprises, universities, governments or their combinations.
