Secondly, the measurement speed is fast, which improves the accuracy of construction engineering information processing. BIM technology has established a huge database for building engineering, which has become the basis of engineering information construction. The application of BIM technology in construction drawing design has effectively solved this problem. BIM technology can effectively solve the shortcomings of traditional two-dimensional drawings, and accurately find the connection points of pipelines in the information model. First of all, in the process of construction quality management, ensuring construction quality is the basic criterion of engineering construction, but in the actual construction process, due to the influence of materials, labor and environment, the decline of engineering quality is inevitable. The application of BIM technology in construction site management can effectively input all kinds of information, query the construction scheme and technical standards, and correct relevant quality defects according to the construction model, which undoubtedly has great guarantee for the construction quality [4]. Secondly, on-site construction progress management, in the past, construction charts were always used to manage the construction progress, but charts could not display the construction progress intuitively. The application of BIM technology in the construction site management can divide the water flow sections according to the engineering areas by 5D software, establish the construction progress model by making network plans, and then add the corresponding time dimension to the model, so that the construction work can be started virtually, and compared with the actual construction, which will effectively avoid the construction delay.

BIM technology is an extension of the combination of information technology and construction industry. The application of BIM technology in building engineering provides a great guarantee for improving construction quality and reducing construction cost.
