Legal basis: Article 60 of the Military Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), when a conscript retires from active service, he shall be paid a retirement fee in accordance with state regulations, which shall be accepted by the local people's government at or above the county level in the place where he is placed, and may be given economic subsidies according to local actual conditions.
