Anhui Agricultural University is located in the downtown area of Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province. It is a key university in Anhui Province with a long history, complete disciplines and wide social influence. The school is a comprehensive university jointly established by the people of China, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Forestry Administration and the People's Government of Anhui Province, one of the first four "high-level universities with local characteristics" in the revitalization plan of higher education in Anhui Province, and one of the first ten universities in China to build a new rural development research institute.
