Beihang University was founded in 1952. It was formed by the merger of Tsinghua University, Beiyang University, Xiamen University and Sichuan University. It is the first aerospace institution of higher learning in New China, and now it belongs to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The school is located in Beijing, divided into Xueyuan Road Campus and Shahe Campus, covering an area of more than 3,000 mu, with a total construction area of 6,543.8+0.7 million square meters. Since its establishment, Beihang University has been a national key university, one of the first batch of 16 key universities in China, and one of the first batch of 22 universities in China to set up graduate schools after the restoration of the degree system in the 1980s.
The first batch entered the "2 1 1 project", 200 1 entered the "985 project", and in 20 17, it was selected as the first batch of national collaborative innovation centers in "201/plan" and was selected as the national "double"
