Shanghai University of Commerce is a municipal public undergraduate college, formerly known as East China Branch of Central Taxation School, which was founded in 1950. Is a public undergraduate college in Shanghai, featuring business majors.

Shanghai University of Commerce has two secondary colleges 12, including School of Information and Computer, School of Management, School of Finance and Economics, School of Tourism and Food, School of Art and Design, School of Foreign Languages (School of International Exchange), School of Oriental Fortune Media and Management, School of Grammar, School of Basic Research, and School of Adult Education. There are 28 undergraduate majors, 9 higher vocational majors (directions) and 3 Chinese-foreign cooperation majors, including 2 national majors. 1 municipal education reform.

In September 2005, Shanghai Vocational and Technical College of Commerce was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed as Shanghai Business School.
