Wei Jie 1952 was born in Xi, China in September. Graduated from School of Economics and Management of Northwest University, professor and doctoral supervisor of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. He used to be the director of the Scientific Research Institute of the State-owned Assets Administration Bureau and the vice president of the China State-owned Assets Society. Now he is a professor at Tsinghua University Institute of Economics and Management, and was awarded the "Young and Middle-aged Expert with Special Contributions from the State".
