Two. Brief introduction of Oriental College of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine
Oriental College of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (country code: 13899 hereinafter referred to as Oriental College) is a full-time undergraduate college sponsored by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (a key university directly under the Ministry of Education and a national university for the construction of "2 1 1" project) with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2005.
The college has specialties such as traditional Chinese medicine, clinical medicine of Chinese and Western medicine, acupuncture and massage, traditional Chinese medicine, cultivation and identification of Chinese herbal pieces, nursing, medical inspection technology, business administration, marketing, public enterprise management, health service and management.
According to the orientation of "cultivating applied talents", practical teaching has been strengthened. In addition to the on-campus laboratory building, there are 124 off-campus teaching practice bases (including 68 affiliated and teaching practice hospitals, 53 practice bases and 3 national scientific research institutes). Students 15000, faculty 1200, 828 full-time teachers, and the proportion of professors and associate professors is 53.9%.
Taking "moral education", adhering to party building and strengthening ideological and political education as the school-running concepts and principles, the College has created unique campus culture and management modes such as "casting souls and grasping steel", "Oriental spirit" and "double prohibition and four noes". So far, the college has trained 26,539 graduates, and won the praise of the society by virtue of both ability and political integrity. Hundreds of large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises and foreign companies related to traditional Chinese medicine, such as Beijing General Hospital of the Third Armed Forces, General Hospital of Armed Police, General Hospitals of all major arms, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei 3A Hospital, compete to recruit graduates from our college, so that the employment rate of graduates from our college has remained above 95% year after year.
In recent years, students from Oriental College have been admitted to Peking University, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Pharmaceutical University, Fourth Military Medical University, China University of Political Science and Law, China Renmin University, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Fudan University and Nankai University, and more than 40 students have been admitted to graduate schools of more than 40 well-known universities at home and abroad in batches year after year.
The college started the scientific research fund and identified five provincial and college-level scientific research projects 15, among which the provincial scientific research project won the Hebei Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award. The College has published 9 academic monographs, including Chinese and English versions of TCM Health Preservation, TCM Nutrition and the course of Secondary Access and Basic Knowledge of Public Health, which has formed a three-legged trend of teaching, scientific research and training in the whole hospital.
