Xi Jiaotong University is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1994, it is the only undergraduate college in Shaanxi Province that focuses on rail transit. Xi Jiaotong University is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China. 1896 was founded in Shanghai Nanyang Public College, and 192 1 was renamed as Jiaotong University. 1956, the State Council decided to move Jiaotong University to Xi 'an, which is the Xi 'an part of Jiaotong University. 1959 was named Xi Jiaotong University.
