Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities (within? Mongolia? Nation? University) is a comprehensive university for nationalities, which supports the key universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the people's government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission to jointly build universities and the national "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" basic capacity-building projects for central and western universities.

The school is located in Tongliao, East Inner Mongolia. The current leader is Chen Yongsheng, and the headmaster is Dong-hai Zhao. The motto of the school is "knowledgeable and reasonable, respecting morality and being kind".

By the end of 20021and 10, the school had two campuses, namely Huolinhe and Xilamulun, covering an area of 33 14 mu, with a building area of 410.50 million square meters and 2020 teaching and administrative staff.

The school has 23 teaching units, 8 teaching auxiliary units, three-level first-class affiliated hospitals 1, and 79 undergraduate majors, covering economics, law, education, literature and other disciplines 1 1. There are 1 one first-level discipline authorized for doctoral degree, 17 first-level discipline authorized for master degree and 13 master degree authorization points.

The school was founded on 1958. In 2000, it was formed by the merger of the former Inner Mongolia Normal University for Nationalities, Inner Mongolia Mongolian Medical College and Zhelimu Animal Husbandry College. In 2009, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission signed an agreement with Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to jointly build schools.

By the end of 2022, Inner Mongolia University for the Nationalities ranked 293rd in China University of Soft Science in 2022.
