Artificial intelligence is a new technical science developed on the basis of computer science. It is an interdisciplinary and emerging discipline, which integrates computer, psychology, philosophy and other disciplines. It studies and develops theories, methods, technologies and application systems that simulate, extend and expand human intelligence.
This paper tries to understand the essence of intelligence and create a new intelligent machine that can respond in a way similar to human intelligence. The research in this field includes robot, language recognition, image recognition, natural language processing and expert system.
In order to serve the national strategic needs, actively promote the development of emerging interdisciplinary subjects and promote the cultivation of high-level compound talents, China University of Science and Technology (CUUST) will set up a new first-class interdisciplinary doctoral degree authorization point for artificial intelligence, a first-class interdisciplinary doctoral degree authorization point for quantum science and technology, and a doctoral degree authorization point for clinical medicine.
