Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology Binjiang College, established in 2002, is an independent college approved by the Ministry of Education and jointly sponsored by Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology and Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology Education Development Foundation. Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology is a national "double first-class" construction university and a high-level university construction university in Jiangsu Province. Formerly known as the School of Meteorology of Nanjing University, it was founded in 1960, independently established in 1963 and listed as a national key university in 1978, and renamed as Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology in 2004. Since 2007, Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, China Meteorological Bureau, Ministry of Education and State Oceanic Administration have been established. The sustained, rapid and high-quality development of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology provides a strong support for the development of Binjiang College.
