Tongji Cherry Blossom is a landscape planted on Cherry Blossom Avenue presented by Japanese friends to Tongji University to promote Sino-Japanese friendship and cooperation. It blooms in the middle and late March every year, which coincides with the drunken cherry blossom season organized by Tongji University Student Union, attracting tourists from all over Shanghai and major universities.

In the cherry blossom season, Tongji University's student union holds "drunken cherry blossom season" activities, the most famous of which is the cherry blossom garden party.
