Jinzhong Information College (formerly Shanxi Agricultural University Information College) was established in 2002. It is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and headed by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education. The school is characterized by information technology, and the disciplines of literature, science, engineering, agriculture, economics, management and art develop in harmony. It is an applied university that pays attention to interdisciplinary integration, an information industry business school and the most respected university. On February 23, 2020, the Ministry of Education officially announced that the School of Information of Shanxi Agricultural University was renamed Jinzhong Information College, which was one of the first successful universities in Shanxi Province.
