Training objectives: This major trains high-quality scientific and technological talents with good ideological and moral quality and high humanistic quality, mastering the basic theory, knowledge and skills of marine science, systematically mastering the professional knowledge and special skills in specific fields of marine science, being able to engage in scientific research, teaching, management and technology research and development in marine science and related fields, and having an international perspective and a correct view of the ocean.
Training requirements: Students in this major mainly study the basic theories and knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and marine science, learn the professional knowledge in specific areas of marine science, receive basic training in marine investigation, marine observation, data analysis and research on marine scientific problems, master the working methods in specific areas of marine science, and have the basic ability to carry out experimental design, data collection, research scientific problems and solve application problems in specific areas of marine science.
Graduates should have the following knowledge and abilities:
1. Have scientific spirit, professionalism and maritime awareness, have a sense of social responsibility, and have unity, cooperation and humanistic quality;
2. Master the basic theories and knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and marine science (earth system science), and master the professional system knowledge in specific fields of marine science;
