China Buddhist College, sponsored by China Buddhist Association, is the only Buddhist college in China that offers three levels of Buddhist education: undergraduate, master and doctor. 1956, China Buddhist College was established in Beijing, with its campus located in Fayuan Temple in Beijing, and will be moved to the new campus of Fenghuangling in Haidian District by the end of 2020.
Under the leadership of the Party and the government, we should adhere to the direction of Buddhism in China, take the socialist core values as the guide, and strive to create a contingent of Buddhist teaching staff who are "politically reliable, religiously accomplished, morally convinced and can play a role at critical moments". Adhere to the characteristics of China Buddhism characterized by "eight sects are inclusive", implement the educational concept of "learning to be an excellent official and making college life jungle", strive to cultivate outstanding monks who love their country and religion, and inherit the fine traditions and development of Buddhism.
From 20 15, in order to improve the academic system, China Buddhist College changed its enrollment to every other year, and enrolled students from Buddhist temples and Buddhist colleges in China all over the country. The enrollment targets are high school monks who are determined to engage in Buddhism in China. China Buddhist College has undergraduate education, postgraduate education and doctoral education. Under the impetus of the Education Committee of the Buddhist Association of China, our college took the lead in promoting the first batch of bachelor's and master's degrees awarding in June, 20 15.
20 15 Up to now, * * * has trained 3 undergraduates and 2 postgraduates. By the end of 20 19, China Buddhist College had awarded bachelor's degrees to 106 students and master's degrees to 10 students. The goals of running a school are: life growth base, cradle of talent output, beacon of Buddhist education and spiritual home for four people. The motto of the college is: read more, think more and be grateful.
