Let me talk about my personal situation first.
When I was in a small city in high school, I never worried about my girlfriend's safety. Because of the good public security, simple folk customs and, most importantly, my girlfriend knows martial arts, most people can't move.
I came to Beijing when I was in college. My girlfriend has changed, too.-Don't criticize me. The reason for breaking up is that everyone has a very difficult experience.-I met my classmates when they were playing together, and I was one year younger than me. People are beautiful and aggressive (why should I look for such aggressive MM), but in terms of strength, they are far less than their ex-girlfriends. Besides, Beijing, especially in some areas, is still very chaotic at night. As far as the neighborhood where I live is concerned, it is not far from Beijing West Railway Station, because the West Railway Station is a transportation hub, and many people from all over the country come in and out from this hub. In addition, the community we live in is newly developed, and there are many messy bungalow residential areas around, which are often particularly chaotic at night. I also met my girlfriend when she left alone. Someone whistled around, and even someone followed her. Fortunately, it was daytime. In the evening, I usually don't let her go alone.
But sometimes I still worry. Then one time, I told her my worry directly. The original words are almost like this: "If you are treated by a bad person, you will be treated in that way. . . . . . . Just being raped, don't worry about losing your virginity. Be sure to keep yourself safe first. You are smart and know how to deal with people. " My girlfriend said at the time, "No, you worry too much." I went on to say, "What if it appears? This possibility is not without? I said it first, you don't have to worry about whether I will refuse it afterwards! In fact, the rapist only got a temporary physical pleasure, and he will pay for it. As long as you don't take the initiative to seduce people, what you lose is only temporary freedom. If you are violated, criminals will pay a higher price. " My girlfriend is still unmoved. She always thought it was not her turn to do such a terrible thing, so this conversation was actually an understatement for us. It seems that I am oversensitive. I won't say much later. But I thought to myself, anyway, I won't dislike my girlfriend and wife if they are victims. I want to do two things: first, appease, but to punish criminals to the maximum extent within the scope permitted by law.
Life comes first. If the blood of life is just an illusory honor, then we are pedantic.
However, I really want to call for the refinement and severity of rape. The qualitative and quantitative provisions of rape in China's criminal law are too vague. Please see:
Article 236 Whoever rapes a woman by violence, coercion or other means shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than 10 years.
Whoever rapes a girl under the age of 14 shall be given a heavier punishment for rape.
Whoever rapes a woman or rapes a young girl under any of the following circumstances shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 10 years, life imprisonment or death:
(a) Rape of women and young girls;
(2) raping a woman or a number of young girls;
(3) raping a woman in public in a public place;
(four) gang rape of more than two people;
(5) Causing serious injury, death or other serious consequences to the victim.
If the rapist has a lawyer who is good at exploiting loopholes, then women will be at a huge disadvantage in the "obedient" rape of catching thieves without resisting on the surface. Therefore, the law should keep pace with the times. When similar cases appear again, there should be a special provision for this typical case. If the law is always so broad, then the crime cannot be severely punished. The law should stipulate that in order to expose the life of criminals, women should adopt a submissive posture when they are raped, and criminals should accept the same punishment as other violent situations. Because the essence of rape is that the will of the victim is seriously violated and distorted.
What I'm talking about here is just the refinement of a case. People think that our judiciary should make more efforts to protect citizens' legitimate rights. At the same time, what we have to do is to be tolerant and understand the victims.
