Xinlian College of Henan Normal University does not belong to Henan Normal University. The school is an independent college of Henan Normal University. It is an ordinary full-time undergraduate college approved by the People's Government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education of China in 2003.

Founded in 2002, Xinlian College of Henan Normal University is the first independent college at undergraduate level in Henan Province. College is located in Taishan Road, muye district, Xinxiang City, Henan Province. Founded by Henan Normal University and Xinxiang City. It is a provincial university and a local university.

Xinlian College, affiliated to Henan Normal University, is a comprehensive university with a long history, huge scale, complete disciplines and teacher education. The history of Xinlian College can be traced back to 1986. Henan Normal University signed a cooperation agreement with Xinxiang Municipal Government to establish Xinxiang Normal College through negotiation in Xinxiang City.

With the continuous expansion of the school scale, the school was renamed "Xinxiang Normal University" on 1993. In April, 2002, the Henan Provincial Government approved Xinxiang Normal University to be upgraded to the Academy of Sciences, renamed as "Xinlian College of Henan Normal University", and was affiliated to Henan Normal University.

Current situation of colleges and universities

The college covers an area of more than 800 mu with a building area of more than 300,000 square meters. There are more than 500 faculty members, including more than 300 full-time teachers, of whom 94% are full-time teachers with master's degree or above. There are 24 undergraduate majors in the college, covering pedagogy, literature, law, economics, management, art and other disciplines, with nearly 1 10,000 students.

The college emphasizes the combination of teaching and practice. At present, there are 6 national key disciplines, provincial key disciplines and characteristic majors, as well as a number of laboratories and practice centers with industry-leading level.
