Chaoshan Culture Research Center and Overseas Chinese Literature Research Center have Tide Series and China Literature Magazine (bimonthly) respectively.
In 2002, The History of Overseas Chinese Literature, written by Chen Xianmao, Wu and others at the Overseas Chinese Literature Research Center in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, won the third prize of the Third China University Outstanding Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences.
This is the highest award our school has won in the field of humanities and social sciences research, which has had a great response in the field of Chinese literature creation and research at home and abroad, and has been highly praised, laying a leading position in the field of overseas Chinese literature research.
English linguistics and applied linguistics are one of the subjects supported by the "2 1 1 project" of our university, with three research directions: English for Specific Purposes, translation theory and practice, and English language and culture.
During the first phase of construction, some influential scientific research achievements have been made in three research directions.
