& ltbr & gt The School of Information Security Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University was established in June 2000, and it is the first national training base for information security professionals initiated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology. College is also an important part of the National 863 Plan Information Security Industrialization (East) base, which will provide a strong guarantee for accelerating the research and industrialization of information security and training the information security professionals in short supply in China.
& ltbr & gt School of Information Security Engineering is a new interdisciplinary teaching and research entity, which concentrates the research strength of information security in Jiaotong University's communication and information system, computer application technology and other disciplines, and concentrates the advantages of information security in all aspects of the school. At present, the Institute of Information Security Engineering has research directions such as cryptography theory and application technology, network security and detection technology, computer virus prevention technology, secure communication theory technology, e-commerce technology, secure integrated circuit chip design, mobile communication security, secure operating system, secure database and intelligent information retrieval. All majors in the School of Information Security Engineering have the right to award doctoral and master's degrees, relying on two major disciplines: communication and information systems and computer application technology. At the same time, the college is actively applying for the newly established national first-class discipline of information security.
& ltbr & gt Up to now, the Institute of Information Security Engineering has more than 60 full-time and part-time professors and associate professors, including 2 academicians (part-time). At the same time, the college also has a research team composed of more than 200 doctoral and master students. In recent years, the Institute of Information Security Engineering has successively undertaken more than 40 national military pre-research and model projects during the Eighth Five-Year Plan and the Ninth Five-Year Plan, national information security application demonstration project (S2 19 project), national natural science foundation project and national 863 project, and achieved a series of important scientific research achievements, including 6 scientific research invention patents 16 and nearly 20 core journal papers. The College has also made great progress in international academic exchanges and technical cooperation, and established strategic partnerships with many famous universities and enterprises at home and abroad.
