The school is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, China, and was founded in April of 1999. It was formed by merging the former China People's Liberation Army Information Engineering College, China People's Liberation Army Surveying and Mapping College and China People's Liberation Army Electronic Technology College.
By the end of 20 14, the school has four campuses (Information Engineering College, Surveying and Mapping College, Electronic Technology College and Science College), covering an area of nearly 4,500 mu, with a total construction area of 165438+ 10,000 square meters. The central campus of the school covers an area of more than 2,500 mu and was named "Garden Camp" and "Civilized Health Barracks" by the headquarters.
Since its establishment, it has trained more than 20,000 high-quality new military talents for the modernization of the army, including Admiral and Commander Wu Shengli, academicians of the two academies, Wang Jiayao, Wu Jiangxing, Yang Yuanxi, Wei Ziqing, Wang, etc., as well as Academician Shen Rongjun, deputy commander of the launch of Shenzhou 5 spacecraft, Yu Zhijian, chief engineer of the ground monitoring and control system of Shenzhou 5 spacecraft, and Guo Yunfei, head of relevant professional expert groups.
