Dare to question the hypothesis. We have our own ideas and assumptions about everything.
Don't accept so-called authoritative information easily unless you investigate and confirm it yourself. Some things are not necessarily true even if they are published in magazines and broadcast on TV.
Learn to question everything around you. Asking questions may be the essence of critical thinking. If you don't know what questions to ask, or don't ask questions from the beginning, you may not be able to get close to the real answer. Finding the answer and finding the answer in an elegant way is critical thinking.
Know your possible bias. A person's judgment may be subjective, unreliable and sometimes even malicious.
Think from the other side's standpoint. Empathy also helps to cultivate critical thinking. Whether you want to improve your negotiation strategy or read a book, thinking from the other side's position can help you better understand the other side's motives, expectations and troubles. Then, use this information to gain corresponding psychological advantages and become more convincing or understanding. Cultivating empathy can make people compassionate.
Think a few more steps forward. You are more likely to succeed if you plan ahead and think a few steps ahead.
Don't be afraid of failure before you succeed. Don't be afraid of failure, it's just life telling you what won't work in another way. Learn from failure and turn the experience of failure into your own advantage. There is a widely circulated saying that successful people will never fail. Failure is just countless attempts and efforts before success, and only in the end can we achieve great success and change from obscurity to infinite glory in front of people.
Read more books. The power transmitted by a good book is unparalleled.
Spend more time with people smarter than yourself. Standing out from the crowd may make you feel good about yourself, but such an environment will only limit your development, so leave this illusion. If you really want to learn something, become an expert in something, or exercise your critical thinking ability, then associate with people smarter than yourself. Smart people will of course associate with people smarter than themselves. In this way, some of their wisdom will penetrate into you more or less, thus expanding your horizons.
Set aside at least 30 minutes every day to exercise your brain and improve your running ability.
Recognize all your choices. Use critical thinking when solving practical problems. Only by knowing that talking on paper is not true knowledge and applying this ability to practice will practice make perfect. This kind of thinking skill allows you to recognize all the options in front of you, then weigh the pros and cons and make the most suitable choice. When faced with problems, we often mistakenly think that we only have one option, but we don't know that the other options are in front of us.
