Tongji University is a very famous and excellent school. In the first half of last century, the most famous university in Shanghai was Jiaotong University, and the other was Tongji University.

Tongji engineering is better, and civil engineering, architecture, automobile, environment, urban planning and German are all strong disciplines.

Shandong University is not as famous as Tongji University because of its strong arts and sciences.
