Unnc is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university in China approved by the Ministry of Education to introduce world-class universities. Co-founded by Nottingham University and Zhejiang Wanli College. The school is led by Professor Yang, former president of Nottingham University and academician of China Academy of Sciences. Professor Nick Myers is the executive principal.
The University of Nottingham, UK is the top 100 world-class university in the world. Unnc combines the advantages of Nottingham University with the actual needs of China's social and economic development, launches a series of world-class degree courses, implements a teaching evaluation system completely consistent with Nottingham University, and teaches in English. After graduation, students get a degree from Nottingham University.
Up to now, more than14,000 undergraduate, master and doctoral graduates have gone to the world from unnc. More than 20% graduates who continue their studies are admitted to the top ten universities in the world, such as Oxford, Cambridge and Stanford. Among the graduates who choose to work, more than 75% have entered the world's top 500 enterprises, well-known enterprises or institutions at home and abroad, and have been widely recognized by employers.

As of May 20 19, there were more than 700 faculty members. The core teachers are from the University of Nottingham, and other teaching staff are recruited globally according to the employment standards of the University of Nottingham.
