Chongqing University is divided into two campuses, namely Shapingba old campus (divided into A former Chongqing University, B former School of Architecture and Engineering, and C former School of Architecture and Engineering) and Huxi new campus (namely University Town). The old campus itself is the urban area, but it is only Shapingba District (cultural area), which is connected with Yuzhong District (business center), with convenient transportation. Yuzhong District of the new campus is far away, but it is also very convenient. There is a school bus going back and forth between the old and new campuses every day. The subway 1 line under construction will directly connect the university town in Yuzhong District and Chaotianmen, which is not too far, and only takes 2 hours by car.
