Art College of Nantong University is a newly established college in April, 2009. The music major of the former School of Education Science of Nantong University was merged into the School of Fine Arts and Design of Nantong University. The former School of Fine Arts and Design of Nantong University was formed by the integration of the former Fine Arts Department of Nantong Normal University, the original art design major and the industrial design major in June 2004.

Nantong medical college

1952 In August, the Ministry of Education of East China Military Commission formulated the "Adjustment Plan for Colleges and Departments in East China" (draft). According to the plan, Nantong College will be transformed into Subei Agricultural College independently and moved to Yangzhou. The second department of textile printing and dyeing was adjusted to East China Institute of Textile Technology; The Medical Department was independently established as Subei Medical College, located in the original site of Nantong College.

1957, renamed Nantong Branch of Suzhou Medical College. 1958 In August, Nantong Branch of Suzhou Medical College was renamed Nantong Medical College 3. 198 1 year became the first master's degree awarding unit 4.

Nantong Institute of Technology

1952 in August, the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, and the second department of textile printing and dyeing of private Nantong College was adjusted to East China Textile Vocational and Technical College. It reopened on 1977 and enrolled students in the name of "Nantong Branch of Nanjing Institute of Technology".

1979 was renamed Nantong Institute of Technology. 1980, Nantong Institute of Technology was renamed Nantong Textile Institute. 1985, upgraded to Nantong Textile Vocational and Technical College. 1995, Nantong Textile Vocational and Technical College was renamed Nantong Institute of Technology.
