Kang Sheng, a college student, took several students from his department-Li Yan, Wang Zhi, Zhu Shi, Mimi and Xindong-back to his hometown to look for murals that are said to be left over from the Neolithic Age. There was an accident on the road, and three adults and a child drowned in a car that fell into the river. When Wang Zhi saw the body, he panicked and kicked the witch through the candle of the deceased. Several people fled under the strange and frightened eyes of the witch.

The students live in a hotel run by Kang Sheng's mother in the ancient town. The next day, except Wang who caught a cold, everyone went to the cave to look for murals. Instead of finding murals in the cave, they saw strange totems and coffins. Everyone was frightened and ran out to the abandoned old house of Kang Sheng's family by the river to take shelter from the rain. Mimia exclaimed, and the students were horrified to find that Wang Zhi had died tragically in the old house, and the spell mark on the wall was the same as the strange totem in the cave.
