First, the origin of learning

Zhejiang university city college is a full-time public institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was zhejiang university city college, which was founded in 1999. In June 2020, the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government signed a cooperation agreement with Zhejiang University to support the ten-year leap-forward development of Zhejiang University City College.

Second, the department's major

The school has 13 colleges such as School of Computer and Computing Science, and 1 Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools (colleges) such as the United College of Waikato University and zhejiang university city college. Forty-four undergraduate majors cover nine disciplines, including economics, law, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management and art. At present, there are more than 500 full-time undergraduates1/kloc-0, and more than 290 graduate students are jointly trained with Zhejiang University.

Third, the teaching staff.

The school has a team of teachers with optimized academic structure led by academicians and with excellent teachers at the national and provincial levels as the backbone. There are more than 300 faculty members 1.300, including nearly 50% full-time teachers with senior technical positions and 68% doctors. There are 33 high-level talents such as academicians of the two academies, national talent introduction plan and national major talent project.

Facing the national strategy and major local development needs, the school actively promotes the construction of science and education innovation complex, including urban brain research institute, happy city research institute, brain and cognition research institute, future city research institute, civilization and communication research institute, historical research center and advanced material additive manufacturing technology innovation center led by academicians and high-level academic leaders.

There are more than 30 scientific research institutions such as Intelligent Transportation Engineering Research Center, Supercomputing Center and Cryogenic Center. There are 2 provincial key laboratories, 1 provincial engineering laboratories, 4 provincial engineering research centers, 1 provincial Marxist religious research bases and 1 provincial key research bases of philosophy and social sciences.

Second, cultural inheritance and innovation.

Adhering to the century-old context of seeking truth from facts and drawing on Hang Cheng's exquisite, harmonious and open spiritual endowment, the school has shaped the enterprising spirit of pioneering and innovative, and cultivated a university cultural system with historical inheritance, characteristics of the times and urban characteristics.

Some well-known campus cultural brands, such as lecture hall of city academy, city ideal, starlight culture, starlight classroom, Moxiang campus and Hangzhou general theory, have been initially built.
