The Graduate School of Suzhou University was formally established on April 7, 20 12. This is the first graduate school independently established by a university after the Ministry of Education announced the cancellation of the administrative examination and approval for the establishment of a graduate school. In the history of higher education in China, Soochow University, the predecessor of Soochow University, was the first to carry out postgraduate education and awarded a master's degree.

The functions of the graduate school are:

1, responsible for the management of enrollment, training, graduation, degree and other links at the graduate level of the whole school;

2, leading the daily affairs of the department in political thought, business management, personnel, scientific research and other aspects;

3. Graduate tutors recruit students;

4. Construction and management of degree courses.
