I am a sophomore majoring in agriculture in Hebei Agricultural University. To tell you first, my feeling about agronomy is that agronomy is boring, because I have never known this major before, and I can't imagine my life after studying in college. The following is my summary of my study and life in the past two years, and I want to give some suggestions to my friends who are about to apply for the exam.
1. Know in advance
? Before volunteering, you must have a certain understanding and concept of most majors, such as agronomy. If you plan to recommend this major to yourself or people around you, you must go to popular science by yourself: the content of your major, the corresponding institutions, and the employment prospects. Everyone is basically concerned about the employment prospects of a certain major. As far as my feeling is concerned, the employment prospects of agronomy are really not so good. If you take an ordinary agronomy major, you can't find a job after graduation (of course, there are exceptions). The graduates majoring in agriculture in our school basically go to the postgraduate entrance examination, and their academic qualifications can be improved through postgraduate entrance examination. Of course, agronomy is relatively easy in the postgraduate entrance examination army, because people who study science are in this category.
When I was a freshman, I observed cells almost every day.
2. Learning content
? In fact, anything that studies science in a university is complicated. You learn everything, but you don't know everything. This is basically the status quo of universities. The training courses offered by agronomy are biology and chemistry, and basic courses such as mathematics, English and physical education are also required (agronomy advanced mathematics is the simplest), because agronomy is a slightly liberal arts subject. When I was a freshman, besides learning some general courses, I also involved majors.
Sophomore, there will be more specialized courses: botany, biochemistry, soil science and so on. There are still many experimental courses in agronomy. Basically, I will take experimental classes in every major course, and I will start practicing in the field when I am a junior. If you ask me if I have studied for two years now, will it help the agricultural industry? My answer is no, or what I said at the beginning. Agriculture is really complicated. If you want to go deeper, you have to take the postgraduate entrance examination.

3. Employment prospects
For employment, through the introduction of our usual tutors and seniors, the employment prospects of agronomy are really miserable. Even though we are now a big agricultural country, our agricultural technology is still relatively backward. In addition, if girls study agronomy, they will inevitably go to work in the fields in the future. Girls who can't eat this bitterness can bypass agronomy. If they can get into 985, you may still have a place to graduate if you major in agriculture in 2 1 1 and other institutions. For ordinary agricultural students like us, there is only one way, and the salary level of postgraduate entrance examination and graduation is not very high. The really easy way may be to study for a doctor first, and then stay in school or become a teacher in a low-level school.

4. Employment direction
Take an examination of civil servants (but in Hebei Province, civil servants have professional restrictions and agronomy can only go to the grassroots level)
Selected Graduates (one of our seniors was admitted to Selected Graduates this year, which was really delicious but also difficult).
Animal husbandry and breeding factory (many such companies come to school in autumn or spring to recruit people)
Postgraduate entrance examination (agronomy is easy to test, and it is also ok to try hard to get into Chinese Academy of Sciences)
Other unrelated jobs (some students don't want to take the postgraduate entrance examination after graduation, so they take part in the work directly, and many can't find their counterparts).
Finally, I hope my personal feelings can help everyone!
