This series is divided into two levels. The first level is the textbook of basic courses for undergraduates in physics department. This series of textbooks will be based on the teaching practice and teaching experience accumulated by several generations of teachers, especially those from Peking University, and strive to be simple and clear, so as to be suitable for the physics departments of most universities in China. It not only absorbs the essence of classical physics textbooks in the past, but also explains the basic knowledge, concepts, laws and methods of physics as systematically, completely and accurately as possible. At the same time, new ideas and methods of scientific and technological development are injected to introduce the modern development of physics, so that students can not only master the basic knowledge of physics, but also understand the frontier topics and research trends of this discipline and improve their scientific quality.
The second level is graduate teaching materials, graduate teaching reference books and specialized academic works. This series will focus on some fast-developing, pioneering and internationally active disciplines and topics, introduce the basic contents of this discipline, and strive to fully reflect the latest progress and research results of this discipline at home and abroad. Academic monographs first pay attention to all branches of physics, and then extend to interdisciplinary subjects closely related to physics.
