The 7th Mathorcup Mathematical Modeling Challenge for College Students is a scientific and technological competition sponsored by China Optimization and Economic Mathematics Research Association, a national first-class society. Adhering to the purpose of combining mathematics with practical problems put forward by Professor Hua, the founder of the college, the contest broadened the channels for social excavation and training of outstanding talents through mathematical modeling competition activities oriented to practical problems, built a platform to show college students' academic basic training, encouraged students to actively participate in extracurricular scientific and technological activities, improved their ability to use theoretical knowledge to solve practical social problems, and cultivated their innovative spirit and sense of cooperation while broadening their scientific research horizons.
Mathorcup Mathematical Modeling Challenge for College Students: Most of the topics come from the practical problems of enterprises. A seminar on the application of mathematical modeling in enterprises is held once a year, and senior algorithm experts such as Alibaba, MathWorks and Didi Chuxing are invited to give reports and share the application of mathematics in practical problems.
The development purpose of MathorCup College Students' Mathematical Modeling Challenge: in the current era of cloud computing and big data, cultivate students' logical thinking ability of finding, analyzing and solving problems, improve students' comprehensive ability of establishing mathematical models and solving complex social and engineering problems in many industries by using computer technology, encourage college students to actively participate in extracurricular science and technology competitions, broaden their knowledge, cultivate their innovative spirit and sense of cooperation, and promote their understanding of society and attention to the times. Provide a "free", "open" and "fair" challenge platform for college students' mathematical modeling enthusiasts all over the country.
Competition purpose: freedom, openness and justice.
Competition declaration: I challenge, I think, I am happy.
Competition time: held within three days of May every year.
