Recently, many schoolmates asked me about my research on insurance. I was very confused at that time and didn't know how to start, so I wrote down some experiences and processes of insurance research here. I am not the best person, there are many people who have better answers and methods than me. If you are lucky enough to read this article, please be aware of the limitations of experience and methods. The best answer is usually on yourself, and only on yourself. I just hope that what I have provided can inspire and help you, that's all. This is the purpose of writing this article.
Next, I will try to summarize from eight aspects: I have personally experienced the interview and listened to my classmates explain the interview experience.
Some things are expounded, which are also mixed with some experiences when I go back to reflect:
I. Fact sheet
This is the first and most important step. The object and subject of positioning is yourself. This requires you to divide it carefully.
Analyze and summarize all the knowledge I have learned in the past three years, and then determine the major I want to apply for according to my own interests and the direction of postgraduate enrollment. Don't follow the trend, everyone has their own situation, and don't say that you have no idea what those majors do. There is a lot of information online and among brothers and sisters. In fact, this is equivalent to writing a process of self-appraisal, but it is deeper. The role of this step is divided into two aspects: internal and external.
The internal function is that when you clearly hear your true inner voice, you will be more realistic about the next series of processes, such as writing emails to teachers, making phone calls, and even participating in interviews with confidence; The external role is that the content you locate is the content in your email and the content in your materials. If you haven't already done so, you might as well consider it.
While not overestimating yourself, don't underestimate yourself, and set a limit for yourself, thinking that I am not worth applying for Tsinghua.
A school like Peking University. Since there is such an opportunity to walk, I might as well make good use of this opportunity to add some experiences and challenges to myself. Sometimes, you often find that the result of one thing will be forgotten in the future, and it is that process that adds weight to your life.
Second, email writing.
After positioning the direction, the next step is to contact the tutor by email. You can get the information of your tutor through various channels you can think of.
The way to find it. The content of writing usually includes your ranking, CET-4 and CET-6 scores, professional project experience, award-winning experience and so on. The theme of writing can revolve around the topic "I think I am suitable to be a student of XXX tutor". The principle of writing is to make as few polite remarks as possible, and keep your email as short and incisive as possible, reflecting your advantages. As for whether the tutor will reply, don't worry. If he doesn't recruit your major students this year, you can go to NB again.
It's useless. All you have to do is expose your NB stuff and see which teacher is more interested. This is a process of selling yourself in words.
Third, telephone communication.
Telephone is a more effective direct communication tool than email. Mail may become spam, but
The phone won't. Make full use of the telephone. If you have any questions you don't understand, call the Admissions Office or call the tutor directly. Don't feel that your eloquence is not good. Calling is to solve a problem you have doubts about, not to do telemarketing. The simplest is often the most effective. Some students don't know what to do if their report cards are not stamped, and they don't know what to do if they rank. Don't ask yourself this question, you have to call the admissions office and negotiate with them.
Fourth, material preparation
Material preparation is a very important issue. Your material represents your first impression of the teacher and determines you.
Are you qualified for the interview? This link is closely related to the first link "orientation". You can't write anything without carefully analyzing yourself. There is a misunderstanding in the preparation of materials, that is, many students spend a lot of time on paper and words, which is completely unnecessary. The teacher cares about your strength, not anything else. Of course, this doesn't mean that you can write a lot of typos to the teacher. Materials should be careful, concise, direct and generous. What you have learned in four years of college, the teacher had better understand it at a glance.
Don't worry too much about whether the report card is stamped or not, or what your exact ranking is. Ranking is just a ranking,
Decide whether you are admitted or not, or how much goods you have in your stomach.
Finally, I would like to add a few points. First of all, you will know whether you have successfully applied for postgraduate study before the formal examination, that is, before the postgraduate entrance examination. This is a good choice. You can only choose one. Be careful! You can choose to take the postgraduate entrance examination or go to a better school for postgraduate study. If you transfer to another school for postgraduate study, it may be a bit troublesome. The school you want to go to may organize a second interview and then let you attend. It depends on your performance to decide whether you can stay or not.
Secondly, if you decide to take the postgraduate entrance examination, the process may be a little harder. You have to study for about ten months, and then take the exam organized by the state in January of that year to decide whether you can enter the second interview.
Finally, I suggest that you prepare for the second interview without knowing the results, because the chances of the second interview are very high. As long as you prepare for the second interview, even if the initial test results are not so high, there is no problem. Don't give up the second interview just because you think you didn't do well in the first examination. We must fight for it. Ten months is worth fighting for the final result. We have worked hard for ten months and don't care about the last few months.
