Speech at the Campus English Theme Competition 1
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!
I'm glad to stand here and give you a short speech. Today my topic is "Youth". I hope you will like it and find its importance when you are young, so as to cherish it more.
First of all, I want to ask you a few questions:
Do you know what youth is? 2. How do you master your youth?
youth
Youth is not a period of life, but a state of mind; This is not rosy cheeks, red lips and soft knees, this is an emotional problem: this is fresh; This is the freshness of the deep spring of life.
Youth means that courage overcomes timidity of desire, and that adventure overcomes the desire for comfort. This is more common in a 60-year-old man than in a 20-year-old boy. No one grows old just because of age. We grow old by giving up our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns youth to ashes.
Whether 60 or 65 years old, everyone has the temptation of miracles, a childlike desire for the future and the fun of life games. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: as long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, joy, courage and strength from men and women, you will remain young forever.
When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with ice and snow, cynicism and self-abandonment arise. Even at 20, you are old. But as long as your aerials are up and you catch signals of optimism, there is hope that you will die young at the age of 80.
Thank you!

Today, I am very happy to share my successful idea with you here. What is success? This is what everyone longs for. Sometimes success is simple. Winning a game is success; Getting a high score in the exam is success; Making a new friend is success; Even now I stand here and give a speech, which is a success.
However, as far as one's life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. Is wealth a success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don't think so. I believe that success is to realize people's hopes and ideals. Nowadays, in modern society, many people are considered to be successful. The most obvious characteristics of Hem are rich, high status and luxurious life. So most people think that success and everything they do are for this purpose. But the question is whether this is a real success.
We all know that there is always more money, higher status and better conditions in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us in the end? Therefore, we can see that in order to achieve real success, we must need something internal, that is, to realize people's hopes and ideals.
Different people have different views on success; Because people have different hopes and ideas. But I believe everyone cherishes every success, because it is hard-won, because in the process of striving for success, our bodies and souls are tempted, and at the same time we are inspired by the most precious qualities of human beings: love, patience, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am proud that I have this opportunity to stand here and talk to all of you. This is my success, because I rose to challenge my hopes.
What is success? Everyone has their own explanation like me. But I am sure that every success will bring a brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hope, believe in ourselves, we, each of us, can create a successful life! Wish you all the best!

Dear judges and students,
(used when meeting in the afternoon) Good afternoon.
Recently, there has been a heated debate in our society. College students are the beneficiaries of rare privileges, and they receive extraordinary education in extraordinary places. However, can we face challenges and overcome all difficulties to support ourselves? Can we improve the lives of others? Can we shoulder the responsibility of building the future of our country?
Cynics say that college students are a spoiled lost generation, and they will shrink back at the slightest discomfort. But cynics are wrong. All the college students I see are eager to learn how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and do part-time jobs together to supplement pocket money.
Cynics say that we don't care about anything but grades; And we ignore the need for character cultivation. However, the cynic is wrong again. We care for each other, we cherish freedom, we cherish justice, and we pursue truth. Last week, thousands of my classmates took blood type tests in order to contribute to children with hematologic cancer.
As college students, we are teenagers at a critical turning point in life. We are all faced with a basic choice: cynicism or faith, each of which will profoundly affect our future, even the future of our country. I believe all my classmates. Although we are still inexperienced and even a little childish. I believe that we have the courage and confidence to meet any challenge and shoulder our responsibilities. We are preparing to take on new responsibilities and tasks and make use of our education to make our world a better place. I believe in our future.
Thank you!
Speech at Campus English Theme Contest 4
Good morning/evening/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:
Today, my speech is about talents. In my opinion, talents are indispensable in today's society. As we all know, the struggle between countries is actually a struggle for talents.
First of all, I want to give a definition to the word "talent". In my opinion, a talent is a person who is good at or proficient in some or more fields. Nowadays, with the development of the world, if a country wants to be among the best in the world or do well, it must have many examples. China, the largest developing country in the world, was always invaded by other countries in the past 100 years. Why? The reason is that China didn't have so many talents at that time. If they have anti-invasion leadership in the war, needleto said, they will defeat those big countries that are talented in weapons manufacturing, and no one dares to provoke ver. Now, this is a completely different situation. China has become a world power. Why? Because there are many talents serving the country, there are more and more civilians, more and more people go to college, and more and more people come to receive further education. Then, in return, the talents in the army protect our country from aggression, and the talents in business help our economy to develop continuously.
Let the world see the flight of China manned spacecraft. Sports talents make China ranked first in the Olympic Games. ......
In a word, talents will play an increasingly important role in the world. If a country wants to prosper, it must train as many talents as possible, that's all.
Thank you!
Speech at the 5th Campus English Theme Competition
Good morning, dear teachers and my friends.
This is a very interesting topic today.
When I was a child, I thought my father was my hero. We will go fishing, walking, and other interesting things.
Every child has a good and great father, so do I. My father played a very important role in my daily life. To be exact, in my past 16 years.
My father always stands at the center of my life, from the past to the present, maybe in the future.
My family was poor when I was a child. We don't have our own house, so we have to live in a shabby little room rented from my father's factory. The room is so small that there is hardly room for people to walk. I don't have my own bed and have to sleep with my parents. This is terrible for my parents and me.
But my father made all this different! He worked hard for his career, and now we have our own two houses. Of course, I have my own room. He brought a lot of happiness to our family and became richer and richer.
When I was young, my father and I did everything together. You can always find me sitting on his knee, or walking with him and doing everything together. Every night he would read me a fairy tale and voice each character.
I learned a lot from my father. I learned never to take things too seriously, but always smile.
Like many other fathers, there is a generation gap between my father and me. He is not good at or even can't operate a computer. So when I sit at the computer desk, he will say something like "You should pay more attention to your study", "Don't waste time on computer games", "It's bad for your eyes" and so on. As a computer geek, how can I reduce my time on the computer? So I continue to study and play on it.
Several years have passed and my father is 45 years old. Now it's time for me to take care of him. I believe I will, and we will have a better life. I will say, I really love you, Dad, because you are my hero.
Thank you very much
