Advantages and disadvantages of being a soldier in junior year
Advantages:
Enjoy preferential policies for college students to join the army, and enjoy four priority principles: priority enrollment, priority medical examination and political examination, priority approval and priority use. Join the army to keep one's student status, pay tuition compensation, have a bonus policy for postgraduate entrance examination, or participate in the special postgraduate enrollment plan of "retired college student soldiers" set up by the state. There is another advantage of taking the civil service exam, because some positions are specially set for retired college students and military personnel, and the number of applicants is relatively small, so the chances of preparing for the exam are relatively high.
Disadvantages:
First, older.
There is an age limit for college students to enter military schools in the army. Usually, they are not over 22 years old. When I was a junior, I was around 2 1 year old. At this time, they have been enlisted for a year and a half, and they are already 23 years old, which has exceeded the age of entering the military school. Therefore, the military academy is doomed to be out of touch with itself.
If you go to school early and join the army in your junior year, your age does not exceed the standard for entering a military school, and the probability of being admitted is very low. Because college students take military examinations in the army, the contents of the examinations are knowledge points of high school, and when the examination time is first-class soldier, they are already in their junior year, and they have been in the army for more than a year, so the knowledge points of high school have long been forgotten, and it is very difficult to review.
Even if you are admitted to a military school in your junior year, you need to start studying in your freshman year. As a result, three years in a local university was a waste, and I was not young. There are some limitations in the promotion space after graduation from military schools. Therefore, it is better to go to the military school as a freshman.
Second, because I didn't get a college diploma, I couldn't take the soldier promotion exam.
If you graduate from an undergraduate course, you will have the opportunity to be promoted when the army performs well. Now many graduates in the army are promoted in this way. If you are a middle school student in party member, monitor, graduate of "985/2 1 1", and serve in the army in hard and remote areas, priority will be given to promotion.
Third, there is no advantage in transferring to non-commissioned officers.
Junior year to sergeant is a disadvantage. The highest degree of non-commissioned officers is calculated according to high school. Three years of college have been wasted, and non-commissioned officers are corporal ranks. If it is a bachelor's degree, it is a direct rank of non-commissioned officer.
Fourth, it has a great influence on one's studies and mentality.
When I returned to school after two years of compulsory service, I still had one year to graduate. Some of my former classmates were admitted to graduate school, some found stable jobs, some were admitted to civil servants or career editors, and I still have to struggle for one year to graduate. I feel two years behind my peers.
Matters needing attention in college students' enlistment
First, pay attention to the registration time, don't miss the registration. Generally speaking, there are conscripts twice a year. After that, you need to pay attention to your way of enlisting. College students can join the army in the form of conscripts, or directly recruit non-commissioned officers and choose the way they want to join the army.
Second, to join the army, you need to be prepared for hardship. Being a soldier is a serious and solemn matter. You should seriously listen to the arrangement of your superiors, strictly arrange your own schedule and exercise yourself.
