Brief introduction of Chopin
Chopin (18 10- 1849) is the greatest composer and pianist in Poland. Under the influence of his mother, he was very familiar with and loved Polish folk music since he was a child. Began to learn piano at the age of 6; Learning to compose music at the age of 7; At the age of 8, he performed at a concert; /kloc-entered the composition class of Warsaw Conservatory of Music at the age of 0/6; Before he was 20, he was a famous pianist and composer in Warsaw.

From 65438 to 0830, Chopin went to Paris, the capital of France, and kept close contact with the famous musicians Berlioz and Liszt at that time. During this period, Chopin made amazing achievements in both piano playing and music creation, and many famous songs were written during this period. Chopin's years in Paris were also the years when his motherland Poland was ravaged by czarist Russia. Therefore, many of Chopin's works in this period reflect his nostalgia for the occupied homeland, his desire for national independence and his broad mind of worrying about the country and the people. Nostalgia and hatred of national subjugation are often revealed in his works. When Russia awarded him the position of "Chief Pianist of His Majesty the Russian Emperor", Chopin sternly refused, showing the noble personality and national integrity of a patriotic artist. 1849, Chopin died in Paris. Before he died, he told his relatives to transport his heart back to Poland to comfort his childlike innocence.

Chopin's creation is mainly piano works, and he also dabbles in various dance music, fantasia, narrative music, scherzo, prelude, etudes, sonatas and so on. His music has a distinctive personality, unique romantic lyric style, passionate and magnificent melody and colorful harmony, which adds dazzling brilliance to European romantic music and is called "Romantic Piano Poet".

In order to commemorate this great patriotic musician, Poland holds an international Chopin piano competition in Warsaw every five years from 1927, which is one of the highest-level and most influential piano competitions in the world.
