The medical department has eight undergraduate majors, including clinical medicine, medical laboratory science, medical imaging, pediatrics, preventive medicine, stomatology, pharmacy and nursing. Clinical medicine is a national specialty and a provincial key specialty. In February 2002, the Ministry of Education approved the enrollment of seven-year students in this major (now 5+3 integrated clinical medicine major).
