Nanjing Normal University is a university. Nanjing Normal University is a national "double-class" construction university and a high-level university construction university in Jiangsu Province. The main source of the school can be traced back to Sanjiang Normal School founded in 1902, which is one of the birthplaces of higher normal education in China.

Nanjing Normal University has three campuses: Xianlin, Suiyuan and Zijin. Suiyuan Campus has the reputation of "the most beautiful campus in the East". The school covers an area of 2 179633 square meters, and the total construction area of existing school buildings is 966.808+09 square meters. There are 28 secondary colleges and 2 independent colleges.

School disciplines have involved philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art and other categories. Six disciplines, including Marxist theory, pedagogy, China language and literature, foreign language and literature, geography and fine arts, entered Class A in the fourth round of national discipline evaluation, while seven disciplines, including engineering, chemistry, plant zoology, agricultural science, materials science, earth science and environmental science/ecology, ranked among the best in ESI with 1%.
